Commemorating the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge

Welcome

We are delighted that you would like to learn about the Brunswick Town Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) Brunswick County, North Carolina. The women who make up our membership are from a variety of backgrounds and come from all walks of life, yet we share a common bond of tracing our ancestry back to those who helped gain our nation’s independence.

Our members are committed to promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. We enjoy our volunteer activities and are proud to make a difference in the lives of our community, state, and country. Last year our chapter logged more than 10,000 volunteer hours of service in our community.

Each member is a direct descendant of a Patriot of the American Revolutionary War.

Our chapter participates in the local Fourth of July celebrations.

Our chapter helped to posthumously award the Purple Heart to a World War I Patriot.

Our chapter supports literacy with a book club and reading to students in local schools.
